Though the location is a small Australian city, rather than a tiny Finnish village, this is my childhood popular music playlist. Our weekend music show was "Countdown" and nothing got in the way of our family watching it. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. :)

I love the idea of a music timeline - and so many artists you love would be on mine as well!

I remember singing Like a Virgin in junior high before I understood what in the world it meant; and going to the Prince concert with my mom, cousin, and aunt, and not knowing what Sheila E was doing on the stage on her knees in front of him (well, not really, just imitating, but it was enough to send my mom and aunt into fits!). We were so innocent back then.

I am a huge ABBA fan as well. I'm the middle aged woman in the grocery store screaming along to Dancing Queen as it blasts over the speakers in the dairy aisle.

Loved this!

I adore posts that offer glimpses into childhood. There’s an almost magical quality when I read something about old memories - like a ray of sunlight drifting across a dark room and shining over a forgotten corner, the dust suddenly becoming star-dust. In the end, experiences and memories are all we are left with, and beyond a point it becomes compelling to share them with the world.

I’ve also been on that journey of breaking up with complete albums and then making my journey back to that hill. It’s a wonderful journey, and I think anyone who climbs that hill will not complain about the view from there.

I just had my morning coffee while reading this post - and it just made my morning better!! Thanks for writing this, for all of us!! 💙
