Discover more from Soaring Twenties
We have stated our vision for where The Soaring Twenties Social Club is going and what we aim to achieve. We have posted our innovative Code which will ensure all of our work is authentic, heartfelt, anti-mimetic and above all human.
We have given our readers the opportunity to support what we are doing here and to become a patron of the arts. We want to offer a sincere thank you to everyone who has already seized this opportunity and to all those who have taken the time to send us messages of support and encouragement.
Now all that remains to be done is to answer a few final questions that people have been asking.
HOW OFTEN WILL YOU BE POSTING WORK?
We will post a new piece from various STSC members every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Think of this as a new take on those great old blogs where there was a regular posting schedule, and think of each new piece as a ‘guest post’ from a rotation of essayists, storytellers, poets, visual artists and more.
Alongside this the first Sunday of every month will feature The Symposium, a collaborative collection where each contributor submits a work based on a set theme. The next edition of The Symposium will go out on Sunday 5th February 2023 and is fittingly based on the theme of ‘beginnings’.
CAN ANYONE SUBMIT WORK FOR THE STSC?
All work published via this Substack is by STSC members only. Our member quota is nearly full but as of this moment people can still join our private Discord community and get involved for $8/month. Once these last places are filled we will operate a one in one out policy.
For those who are already members of the community you can submit work via our Discord server or you can contact Thomas J Bevan directly.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OMNIBUS?
The Omnibus was put on hiatus as the consensus response was that it was outstanding- but that it was too much- there was just too much outstanding work to take in each week and readers were getting overwhelmed and feeling sorry that they could not keep up.
If there is sufficient demand in the comments section the Omnibus may return as a monthly best of, similar to the final Omnibus issue that we posted on New Years Day. You as the reader get to decide, so do comment below.
WHAT WILL MY PAID SUBSCRIPTION MONEY BE USED FOR?
As stated in The Code every penny will be used for creating art. The membership dues from STSC members is what I use to support myself and to do this full time, and the money from the supporters of this STSC Substack will be entirely used for collective STSC projects.
In terms of what we will create first I would say that a physical anthology of our best collective work is long overdue. But again the readers have a say and can let us know what they think in the comments below.

If you have any further questions, suggestions or comments let us know. I intend for this substack to have one of the most active, engaged and responsive comments sections on this entire platform.
We will grow and become a force to be reckoned with but above all we intend to do this the right way, and this will take as long as it takes. This is a long term project with a long term vision. We intend to change the face of online creativity and be an inspirational force for good.
But we cannot do this without the support, engagement and feedback of a devoted audience who truly understand what we are about and what we are trying to achieve. We need your involvement to make this all that it can be. So if you know anyone who wants more for the online world, if you know anyone who thinks that the internet and art today are not all that they could be then point them in our direction.
We are here to build. But what is art without a beholder, a story without a reader, a song without a listener?
We can only do this together, as a unified collective. We can only do this with your support and patronage.
